Checking a Dealer's Premium

Dealer prices for coins and bars usually include a premium over the spot price. One way to see what a specific item actually sells for is to look at recent completed sales on a secondary marketplace such as eBay:

1. Search for the exact item (for example, "1 oz Gold Buffalo").
2. Filter to "Sold Items" so only completed sales show.
3. Compare recent sold prices with the dealer's asking price and the current spot price.

Note for agent developers: collect marketplace data only through the marketplace's official APIs and within its terms. eBay's sold-item data API (Marketplace Insights) has limited access; check eBay's developer site.
